Tuesday Practice Night: access is via the Bishop's Door. Please arrive by around 19:15 and make yourself known to any ringers who arrive. Click here to see the location of the Bishop's door.
Saturdays: the cathedral is not always open. If this is the case, please wait at the Bishop's Door 10 minutes before ringing begins. Please make yourself known to any ringers who arrive. Otherwise, refer to Sunday entry arrangements.
Sundays: enter the cathedral through the main doors at the south end of the building (closest to parliament), then walk along the right-hand side of the cathedral to the foot of the tower, and take the lift to the 3rd floor. You can also access the tower from the street by walking along Molesworth Street, and at the foot of the tower you can enter through one of two sets of double doors (beware, they are not always opened).
Getting here:
There is parking available along Molesworth Street and on Hill Street outside the Loaves & Fishes Hall. Charges apply between 6:00 and 19:00 on weekdays, as the carparks are leased out to Wilsons Parking during those times. Cathedral parking is free at all other times, including public holidays.
The cathedral is under 10 minutes' walk from Wellington Railway station and Bus interchange. The number 14 and several peak-only bus routes stop directly beside the tower going northbound.
