Wellington Bellringing Festival
Wellington Bellringing Festival
About the Event
The Wellington Bellringing Festival was established in 2005 by Derek Williams as a means of bringing ringers together from all over New Zealand, with many also attending from Australia, North America, and the UK. It takes place annually over New Zealand's Labour Weekend, with a comprehensive schedule running from Friday evening until Monday evening. Most of the ringing is on the 14 bells at Wellington Cathedral of St Paul, with a mix of open and simulated ringing, but there are plenty of opportunities to ring at Old St Paul's, on the John David Mini Ring and Handbells. We also have dinner on Saturday night. All ringers are welcome to attend. Please refer to the Festival Program for complete details of the event. Morning and afternoon tea and coffee will be provided for the duration of the festival.
Subject to demand, lunches may be provided on Saturdays and Mondays (sandwiches, fruit, and a snack). Please indicate your preference in your registration.
