Wellington Bellringers' Festival
The Wellington Ringing Festival was started in 2005 by Derek Williams, as a way of gathering ringers together from all over New Zealand, with many ringers also coming from Australia, North America and even the UK! It takes place annually over New Zealand's Labour Weekend, with a comprehensive schedule running from Friday evening until Monday evening. Most of the ringing is on the 14 bells at Wellington Cathedral of St Paul, with a mix of open and simulated ringing, but there are plenty of opportunities to ring at Old St Paul's, on the John David Mini Ring and Handbells. We also have a dinner on the Saturday night. All ringers are welcome to attend. Please see the Festival Program for full details of the event.
